DECLARATION OF DISASTER and BURN BAN EFFECTIVE AS OF 07/30/2018

On Monday, July 30, Burnet County Judge James Oakley signed an emergency disaster declaration and order banning all outdoor burning in the county:

 

Outdoor burning of any kind NOT ALLOWED as of 07/30/2018. No burning of any combustible materials, no burning in barrels even with screen, no outdoor activities like cooking outdoors, welding, cutting, grinding, or anything that can create a spark. Outdoor burning is regulated under state law. As conditions warrant, the county may adopt a burn ban.
